Early Life

From the 'City of Dreams' to the 'Land of the free'

Being born in colorful and festive India, traveled 10 countries, and now cherishing the amazing opportunities in the US, has helped me in understanding and valuing the different perspectives and integrating creative ways of doing things. I was born in a small town near Mumbai, India, and adjusting and adapting to fast-paced life is in my veins.

Growing up I helped my father with his freelance job (paint jobs - furniture, refrigerators, and interiors) with the accounting, scrapping surfaces using sandpaper, and matching colors to swatch Cards. I learned the creative process, customer service, and a lot more by observing my father’s way of understanding customer needs and adding value to service delivery.

The Transition

Having worked for 8+ years on a variety of tech projects, my work and interest have been focused on functional requirements but being conscious about non-functional as well. Facilitating projects and creating alignment between stakeholders and team, I always asked how this feature or update will help the users and business. Solving problems using technology and dissolving ambiguity on projects gives me joy.

My Aha moment happened when 2 of the hiring managers at job interviews for the Business Analyst position in 2019 suggested me to think about considering pursuing UX Design Career.

You have a good eye for it and seemed enthusiastic about those elements of the homework assignment.

I discussed the next steps with friends from the industry and did some research to conclude that I can be an awesome UX Designer. I decided to put my passion and interest into practice by transitioning to UX Design.

2020 has been creatively nurturing for me, and I am excited to apply my work experience and Design Thinking to make an impact by easing the technology usability for users.

Work Authorization: I am eligible to work for any employer in the US
